I got my drop plates Friday and got them put on today. I think it looks a lot better than adjusting the spring plates on the torsion bars. I think it gives it less camber using the drop plates. Now I just need to drop the front a bit more. Please let me know what you guys think.

If you don't already have them, get some drop spindles for the front. BooYAH!

I was thinking about getting some drop spindles. What brand do you recommend, and do they make different spindles for 4 lug and 5 lug link pin dick brakes.

4 lug spindles are all ball joint,   not link pin,  Im sure there is an expensive conversion, there might be an adapter?  I Had the same problem on a ghia beam that someone put in a bug,  I pulled the disc off, just to get the wide five back.  JEFF

I just checked today and it still has link pin spindles. So should I be able to just put some 5 lug rotors on it with out changing the spindles right away and would I be able to use the 4 lug  calipers with the 5 lug rotors?

5-Lug rotors (Empi/CB Performance) don't work with the regular drop spindles. You would have to buy these bad boys and they only come in the kit. Notice that the spindle has a much larger caliper bracket.

CB does not say what caliper's they use.

You can buy just the rotors, but... you will have to make a custom caliper braket. These rotors have a larger diameter than the 4 lug rotors.

Tim, save your self all this heada ache, and just buy some 4-5 lug adapters, narrow your front beam, and call it done!

I have a question...at the start of this thread it says if you have the 3.75 plates you don't have to shave the spring plate the 1/8".  Where do you have to shave if you use the 2.75" drop plates?

Also I already have my rear lowered a notch, is the 2.75" plate fine?

Our install pictures on the first page don't show this part, but they are listed here in the instructions.

The 2.75" plates will be fine, that will get you low, LOW if you have them at 1 notch all ready, about the same as the 3.75" plates at stock height.

Thanks... I'm gonna order a pair of both. I'm building a ghia for my wife and we haven't lowered the rear yet.

another question... I'm putting 17" Escras with 235/45-17 tires on my oval and right now they rub the spring plates, even with 3/8" wheel spacers. Do you know what size spacer I'll need after I install the lowering plates? or will I just have to use trial by error?

The Drop Extensions mount inside the the spring plate, so there won't be an increase on tire rubbing there. If you have long axles already, then your Escra's should be good, maybe a 1/4" or 3/8" spacer. CB Performance has the best wheel spacers. http://cbperformance.com/catalog.asp?ProductID=1547

We are in the works of building our own aluminum wheel spacers, they'll be water jet cut, not billet like CB's, 1/4" 3/8" and 1/2", in both 12mm and 14mm bolt sizes.

I wasn't sure if dumping it that low, the top inside of the tire would rub the fender well.
I did hear from Juan at GR Wheels that I should use 1" spacers. I have a friend who has a set for me, I just need to find the bolts now.
